From Idea to Insight
Introducing our Founder
Yasmin Shamsudin, PhD
Yasmin earned her MSc in Chemical Engineering and PhD in Molecular Biotechnology from Uppsala University, Sweden. She continued her academic journey at Stanford University, USA, as a Wallenberg Postdoctoral Research Fellow, before returning to Uppsala University as faculty. Driven by her passion for innovation, she later founded YSBiotik and served as its first CEO, establishing the company as a biotechnology R&D startup.
Her research explores the dynamics of proteins and the molecular mechanisms underlying binding, inhibition, and catalysis of small molecules in enzymes. With a strong focus on protein engineering and drug design, Yasmin also develops advanced computational tools and methods to accelerate discovery in biotechnology.
